Is the Government to Blame for Our Problems?
Dear friends,
It's not the government that's controlling the people. After all, the government is run by human beings… Nevertheless, we live in a market-driven, possession-oriented society, so our "values" are controlled by "the market". Moreover the corporations that control this market also control the government and the rest of society - and the way that we think and act.
Therefore, our energies are focused on "what we have" as opposed to "who we are". That means that our government is more of an illusion that we have about some kind of order to our society, when reality, we are all agents of the system whose values are based upon randomly using each other as means to ends, showing no empathy to anyone, be it personally or professionally.

War - To Proselytize, Murder, and Rape
Dear friends,
Many ordinary people, especially those who have never served in any kind of military capacity, are unaware of the acts of rape and murder combined as being "traditional" behavior in human warfare. Of course, it is well-documented that around 2500 years ago, Hebrew/Jewish armies murdered and raped people, and burned the books of the villages that they attacked, then forcibly converted their victims to Judaism.
The "believers" of Christianity - a religion that grew out of Judaism - which itself influenced the birth of Islam, always acted in the same way that their Hebrew predecessors did. Therefore, raping and proselytizing those who survived the heinous assaults is the rule, rather than being the exception.
Even worse, such victims/new converts, sometimes, became the next group of conquerors themselves. As a matter of fact, during wars, considering the amount of rape victims who are not killed and become pregnant, the lunacy of Adolph Hitler with his fantasy about there being an "Aryan race" is totally exposed. After all, if one simply goes to the literature, s/he will find that the dark-skinned Mongolian Huns, who were originally led by a man named Attila, raided much of the area now known as Europe, for centuries, murdering the male inhabitants and raping women and little girls, in the process, making "mixed" children.
Of course, Amer-Asian children from the Vietnam war era are proof of the continued savagery of some American soldiers and others who keep the incredibly despicable murder/rape tradition intact, now followed by troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Yet, while it is not always rape, per se, unfortunately, we see the results of this same type of inhuman and vicious sexual impropriety here-to-mentioned, from politicians, actors, athletes, musicians, and other "celebrities" who have both broken the hearts of and abandoned women and their children, spread around our country - and the world.
Finally, rape happens right here in the states to women in the armed forces, perpetrated by their own male "comrades" - all of the time. Not just when they are in a war. Again, please go to the literature. I challenge you. If you are unaware of that simple fact, then you may have a different view of how this country has been run,, since its inception. To be sure, this says a great deal about the overall direction that we need to be heading. President Obama's signing, and subsequent re-authorization of, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is an important start.
One Love,

Drone rockets and Cell Phones - America's shame!
Dear friends,
It is extremely sad that so many Americans seem to have no concern for all of the innocent people that our government is murdering under the pretense of protecting Americans from future harm by "terrorists".
First of all, since when does any human being on this planet know the intentions of any other person? Secondly, if the logic of our government is true, then that means that, in fact, those who we are attacking are just as much warranted in killing Americans. In other words, why is the life of an American more precious than anyone who is not American?
Also, the term "American interests" is often used, instead of "American", as the reason for these vicious killings. Whose interests are being threatened? Obviously, the economic and financial interests of the American corporations and banks who sponsor the federal politicians, including our president, who themselves then order the military to make the deadly strikes.
Finally, the latest military strategy by our government to murder those who are allegedly a threat to either American or "American interests", are being targeted via cell phones, irrespective of whether the person who was actually holding the phone is the actual "terrorists" who is being sought.

Dr. Norman Finkelstein on the "Holocaust" Industry
"We should not be swayed by the crocodile tears ad whining that allows so many well-intentioned people in this world to donate their resources to a bunch of scam artists."
Dear friends,
One of the world's foremost scholars on the effects of Zionism on the whole world, Dr. Norman Finkelstein, delivers some important insight into the rapacious practice of many Zionists, especially those who are based here in the US, to use the atrocities committed against Jewish people in Europe during World War 2, called the "Holocaust", a a money-making bonanza.
Of course, I find it quite curious that Zionists have somehow gotten the world to use a capital "H", when speaking of the aforementioned atrocities. After all, an upper case "H" denies or ignores that which has occurred against Africans and Early American Natives, for example. Also, some 22 million non-Jewish Russians alone died as a result of the murderous movement by ordinary German people who called themselves "Nazis". That's over 350% percent greater than the 6 million Jews that are said to have perished from the Nazi drive. What's wrong with this picture?
At any rate, in a 50 minutes-long interview, on the link below, Dr. Finkelstein talks about his book regarding what he calls the "Holocaust Industry". More importantly, however, at least to me, we should not be swayed by the crocodile tears and whining that entices so many well-intentioned people in this world to donate their resources to a bunch of scam artists.

To where has the leadership in ths country gone?
"The best form of leadership is one that weds imagination and action." - Dr. Okey NdibeDear friends,
Nigerian scholar/educator/writer, Dr. Okey Ndibe writes: The best form of leadership is one that weds imagination and action.
I would like to add to that wisdom from my dear friend and brother Okey that that "action" of which he speaks requires the aforementioned "leader" to also be willing to take the first blow of opposition, like Mandela did for scores of years.
Unfortunately, in this country - the U.S.A. (and most others), so-called "leaders" hide in offices and caves, surrounded by their threat capacity in the form of the police and military, never actually having to confront their own inadequacies and insecurities, much less vulnerabilities.
So how can one be a leader, if his or her value judgments are founded in him or her having no regard for anything other than satisfying himself or herself, as it pertains to receiving both social status and as many material benefits as possible, while, simultaneously, involving himself or herself in as little work/effort as possible?
Moreover, if one is to use his or her imagination to lead, then s/he must necessarily use reason in his or her actions along with the aforesaid imagination. That automatically makes using manipulative intelligence alone inadequate, and, instead, turns all three factors into either a plan or, at least, a progression of plans that will not only require the input needed that can only come from a large body of other people (democracy), but will benefit everyone involved. Cheers!

2001 David Frost Interview of Ashwari and Netanyahu (originally posted on 12/27/08)

"...at least to me, African Americans have far more in common with the Palestinians than the Israelis.
Dear friends,
When will the world stand up against the imperialisistic and murderous actions of the Israeli government? During his presidential campaigns, President Barack Obama (both 2008 & 2012), consistently, promised to support the continued exploitation and oppression of Palestinian people, as his predecessors have done ever since World War 2. In fact, considering the role of the United States in escalating Israeli hegemony in the Middle East and elsewhere during the Clinton Adminidstration, Obama's choice of Hillary Clinton as the Secretary of State, at least to me, was nothing less than shameful. Moreover, African Americans have far more in common with the Palestinians than the Israelis. Nevertheless, on the link below, during a short but substantive video interview, Palestinian legislator Hanan Ashrawi, provides critical answers to questions about Israel's actions.
NOTE: Unfortunately, in the past hour or so since I posted Ashrawi's interview, CNN has taken down the interview just mentioned. Instead, the media outlets are portraying Israel to be victims of "terrorism". Therefore, I have replaced the earlier posting with a print interview called"BBC BREAKFAST WITH FROST INTERVIEW: BENJAMIN NETANYAHU (then former, since re-elected) ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER, and HANAN ASHWARI PALESTINIAN LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2001."

US Congress members prove how Stupid they are - once again
“As members of this committee, we are supposed to have a deep understanding of the technology involved in the health-care Web site,” said Chairman Fred Upton (R-Michigan). “So it was absolutely imperative for us to fake that we do.”"
Dear friends,
I just figured it out. Essentially, the U.S. Congress is made up of the people who got through college cheating on their exams. This also helps to explain the constant corruption.
On the link below, is a very short article about a hearing that was held before the House Energy and Commerce Committee. When will people realize that, beginning with our youth, we can stop two centuries of stupidity, in one generation?

Should rich people pay more taxes?
"They have poor people complaining about the fact that the rich are gonna be taxed more."
Dear friends,
Recently, while rappin' with one of my siblings about the whole issue of income tax rates in our country, he quipped, "They have poor people complaining about the fact that the rich are gonna be taxed more." Go figure.
Yet, the rich have far more to defend in this possession-oriented, market-driven economy. Therefore, they should hardly be complaining. After all, as I have pointed out in a previous post, Adam Smith, the "Father of Economics", in his classic volumes called "The Wealth of Nations" summed up the entire notion of how our system works, when he wrote: For every rich man there are 500 poor ones, and he would not get a night's sleep if it weren't for the local magistrate.
Consequently, the dishonest claim by Republicans and their ilk about wanting “smaller government” and “less taxes” contradicts their genuine wants and needs to get multi-billion dollar government contracts for their sponsors like Halliburton and various other giant corporations of defense and technology who also given protection by the taxpayer-funded US police and military for their financial interests, both here and around the world. In other words, the very wealthy have far more to lose, so why shouldn't they contribute more? Moreover, why should those who make far less subsidize the wealthy?
Meanwhile, via the mainstream media that serve as the official communication organs for both the huge corporations mentioned above, as well as their sycophants called “politicians” who aid such companies in acquiring greater wealth, everyday people, that is, both military and non-military workers whose aggregate sweat and blood make all of this possible, live with one foot in the poor house, while the other foot is on a banana peel. Let’s keep it real.

Federal politicians Lie about Tax Cuts
Dear friends,
As usual, the government- and corporate-controlled mainstrean media has hoodwinked the public. That is, while the income tax rates have not increased, the payroll tax has gone up That means that "middle class people", on average, will get a $1, 000 to $2, 000 increase in wages taken from their checks this year.
Let's remember the difference between income taz and payroll tax: Income taxes are withheld from an employee's wages and go into a general fund . Payroll taxes are comprised of Medicare and Social Security taxes--also withheld from an employee's paycheck. However, the employer also pays payroll taxes to the federal government for these programs (in addition to the amount an employee pays)....Federal income tax and the Medicare tax have no limit, but the Social Security payroll tax always carries a cap. In 2008, Social Security tax topped out at 6.2 percent on an earnings maximum of $102,000.
As the New Yorker magazine reports today, January 2nd, 2013, and I agree, an article called THE PAYROLL TAX AND OBAMA’S NEXT FIGHT, by Amy Davidson: More outrageously, cuts to the already highly regressive payroll tax are being allowed to expire, meaning that they will rise from 4.2 per cent to 6.2 per cent. Obama didn’t even fight for them. In his statement Tuesday night, Obama described the bill as “preventing a middle-class tax hike” that could have hurt families and sent the country back into a recession; that is true, but it allowed another middle-class tax hike that could have the same effect.
Please don't sleep on this!

Tens of Millions of Republican supporters live in Trailer Parks and Mobile Homes
Dear friends,
If you're wondering who are the constituents of Republicans, it's mostly the tens of millions of people who live in trailer parks and mobile homes, living the "American dream", as is evident by the article on the link at the bottom of the page. They are pathetic people who live in both the South and the Midwest. They don't need much to survive on, just alcohol, crystal meth, cigarettes, and a little ammunition for their shotguns. They pay for those items by working for less than l;ow-wage, non-union factories that supply companies like Walmart, so the latter doesn't ever need to buy from overseas too much. Real "American". Right? (please refer to Deer Hunting with Jesus by Joe Bageant)
Moreover, the Republicans don't have to do much to keep their dimwit constotients motivated. All they have to be reminded of is the past, when there weren't all kinds of big cities with their highfalutin "educated" folks and all of "them immigrants", although they can always feel that they have a little superiority over African Americans, by simply turning on their TV sets and catching a few minutes of Tyler Perry's "Meet the Browns" or a video of Spike Lee's movie called "The Kings of Comedy".
Aside from the corporations and banks who sponsor them, the Republicans, especially, know that the folks who live in trailer parks and mobile homes will never let them down..

Should a Jewish legislator support the Native American Holocaust?
Dear Friends,
The recent hoax that Congress and the government- and corporate-mainstream media pulled, regarding a "fiscal cliff", hid the fact that the Violence againsr Womn Act wa allowed to expire. The lead person behind the effort to let the Act go, is a Jewish, Republican legislator, Eric Cantor. He doesn't like the fact that the Act had a provision that protects women on reservations, from rape by especially European American, so-called "white", men who come on reservations and rape Native American women. Now those evil. low-lofe men can continue their less than animal behaivior with impunity!
For all of the cries about "The Holocaust", is it not a great contradiction for a Jewish man to support such vicious oppression? Oops! I forgot about Occupied Palestine. Sorry.
Folks need to pay attention!

The Federal Deficit and Going off a Cliff
“Yet, how much of our government’s purchases/expenditures, for example, are directly tied to doing business with US corporations and big banks?”
Dear friends,
The federal deficit is defined as, “The excess of federal government spending over tax collections. The flip side of the federal deficit is the less common federal surplus, the excess of tax collections over spending.”
Yet, how much of our government’s purchases/expenditures, for example, are directly tied to doing business with US corporations and big banks? So, what if the government charged tax rates according to the amount of money and other assets that an enterprise has, since greater security (i.e., police and military) is needed in order for that aforementioned enterprise to survive? After all, the current crop of Republican politicians and their corporate sponsors/bosses enjoy the protection of their assets, both here and abroad, at low cost?
I mean, what if they had to hire their own armies and police? Would that be a higher expense than the taxes that they pay at present? And so, is the rant about wanting “small government”, actually, a red herring?
How much time would the owners/managers of the aforementioned corporations and banks have to invest towards creating more wealth, if they had, instead, to spend more time on protecting their assets from those who have less (the so-called 99%)? Moreover, what type of lives would these owners/managers of corporations and banks, mentioned above, have, in terns of enjoying their wealth, as a result of having the responsibility of protecting their assets?
Please remember that greed is always short-sighted, from the cheating spouse to the BP oil spill.

Why is the C.I.A. so much in fashion these days?

Moreover, is all of this about "transparency", arrogance, or getting citizens to accept this ruthless group that is worst than any of its organized crime counterparts?
Nevertheless, after recently seeing a New York Times piece about the role of the C.I.A. ‘s current involvement in Libya, I decided to do a piece about this shameful US foreign policy body. During my research, I came across an article that really pointed out the exact history of this agency that engages in never-ending, unconscionable acts against humanity, that seemingly happens totally outside of this government. Elmer Smith on Republicans fighting "illegal immigration" with the US Constitution
."The 14th Amendment has been challenged by people who wanted to create second-class citizenship for freed slaves and for Chinese immigrants. It's old business." - Andrew Hoover, of the American Civil Liberties Union
Dear friends,
Considering the fact that Republicans, especially, will use the issue of immigration to flare up the racist feelings of so many of the citizens in this country, I felt it, perhaps, instructive for us to peruse a piece that was written a year and a half ago, by the now-retired, legendary journalist Elmer Smith, formerly of the Philadelphia Daily News. “The fastest growing form of incarceration in the United States is immigration detention…”
Dear friends,
In the past, I’ve written about the Crime Industry. Well, just as 19th Century oil conglomerates would be the predecessors of today’s Automotive/Aerospace/Oil Complex, the aforementioned Crime Industry has led to te development of the “Prison/Industrial Complex”.
To be sure, this all keeps us aware of the reality that, in a society where our values are a reflection of the market, instead of vice versa, new markets must constantly be created in order to feed the insatiable greed of the market as it now stands.
In any case, on the link below is a Website that provides some very important takes on the durrent role of prisons in our particular advanced political economy - or process of social reproduction, as it were. Please check it out.
Cheers!
