Kanye West sports the Confederate flag

Dear friends,

I just saw the link below on the page of a popular person on Facebook...even though I’ve been well aware of it for almost my entire life, it still amazes me that so many African American people have so little dignity...one woman even wrote the comment: let Kanye West go and get the money, “Cha Ching!”. The worst part is the woman who wrote that is very likely someone’s mother.

Unfortunately, in his absolute stupidity, Kanye West didn’t even know what the Confederate flag represents. There were actually four Confederate flags; the one that most of us know about was called the Battle flag. Of course, as well, there were a few thousand black slave masters in the antebellum South. Consequently, there were some 10,000 black Confederate soldiers who fought to uphold slavery. Today, their spiritual descendants are known as hip-hop moguls and the like.

So, at least to me, the deeper issue is: why do so many black people like Kanye West and the woman mentioned above, along with the earlier mentioned black slave masters and black Confederate troops, satisfied with having so little respect for themselves, as long as they’re making money?

Happy 80th, Ben Swan!!!

Dear friends,

Last night (10/31/13), I went to an incredible 80th birthday celebration that was held in honor of my long time dear friend and mentor State Rep. Ben Swan (D- MA) of Springfield, MA.

Ben is a lifelong freedom fighter in the grandest sense! It was great to see him in that venue, being acknowledged by so many distinguished people who themselves have spent their lives making both our communities and this country a better place. Cheers, Ben!

Re: Turning our weaknesses into strengths (originally posted 10/16/08)

"What would you do, if you lost one of your five senses?"

Dear friends,

You may have seen this short video on the link below, previously. The young fellow who is the subject of the piece, Ben Underwood, also helps us to understand why all of us are equals. That is, every human being has strengths and weaknesses. Besides, each of us as individuals, must, by himself or herself and for
himself or herself do four things. They are: 1) Eat...2) Drink...3)...Expel the waste of the two aforementioned activities...and 4) Sleep. If not, no one will continue to live. Period. At least to me, that is what makes every human being equal - regardless of skin color, how much power or wealth that one has, how talented or challenged s/he is either athletically or intellectually, or whatever "orientation" by which our society or the market defines him or her. Ya dig? Peace.

US Congress members prove how Stupid they are - once again

“As members of this committee, we are supposed to have a deep understanding of the technology involved in the health-care Web site,” said Chairman Fred Upton (R-Michigan). “So it was absolutely imperative for us to fake that we do.”"

Dear friends,

I just figured it out. Essentially, the U.S. Congress is made up of the people who got through college cheating on their exams. This also helps to explain the constant corruption.

On the link below, is a very short article about a hearing that was held before the House Energy and Commerce Committee. When will people realize that, beginning with our youth, we can stop two centuries of stupidity, in one generation?
