Was US expecting Russia to attack Georgia?

Dear friends,

In light of the bold move by the US government in signing a missile defense deal with the government of Poland, it appears that, at least to me, the Russians, knowing what the US was going to do with Poland, decided to strengthen its own military might in both the Northern and Eastern European regions. On the other hand, it also seems that, perhaps, the US government, claiming that Russia's recent activity in Georgia, as well as Norway and Estonia, is cause for concern. Is there a lot of grandstanding on both sides? Who wins or loses? Please check out the two links below. THen think about it. Cool? Peace.
