HAPPY BIRTHDAY MALCOLM - A Real Leader!!!
"...one of the chief pioneers of the Black Consciousness Movement."
born May 19, 1925
Dear friends,
In light of all of the frauds who are called "leaders", both in academia and the streets, and at a time when the government- and corporate-controlled mainstream media put the centuries-old liberation struggle of African American people to gain equality, dignity, and justice, in the context of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s, especially for our youth, We need to keep them aware of the fact that it was the Black Consciousness Movement (@1965-85) that brought the most significant changes to the US - and continues, including the election of Barack Obama.
Moreover, while We can't forget so many others, We must always remember that Malcolm X was one of the chief pioneers of the Black Consciousness Movement, in modern times.
One Love, One Heart, One Spirit!

I applaud you for keeping keeping the memory of Malcolm X alive. I remember his birthday every year. Malcolm X became one of my biggest heroes during my high school days after reading "The Autobiography of Malcolm X" by Alex Haley. His story reflects a life journey that is just as relevant today as it was then. I hope his legacy as an African American leader persists over generations and is not lost in history.
Right on, JC!
Brother Malcolm always stood tall. He never backed down. I have most of his speeches, which I listen to occasionally. I am still amazed at his determined and steely approach to civil rights. His ability to adapt as he gained new understandings throughout his life should be an example for all folks, especially young ones today. I am disappointed at how we have retreated from so much he helped accomplish. We have generations now that have backslid. Hopefully we'll recover and get back on track.
